Honda’s beautiful RC45 was successor to the legendry RC30, but it was no evolution. A clean sheet build, everything aspect was new, bore and stroke were changed for the first time since the VF750S to produce more revs, and the frame was completely different.

In the hands Miguel Duhamel the RC45 totally dominated AMA racing achieving Duhamel the prestigious award as the winningest Superbike rider in AMA history; Duhamel has 23 career wins to his credit, 19 of those on the RC45. After making its debut with the Smokin' Joe's Honda team in 1994, the 180-horsepower, 190-mph RC45 won eight of 10 AMA Superbike rounds in 1995 with Duhamel and rookie sensation Mike Hale. Duhamel won the championship, making him the first Canadian to take an AMA Superbike crown, while Hale trailed him in second spot. What's more, Duhamel's six consecutive victories established him and the RC45 with the longest Superbike winning streak in AMA history. Honda’s budget for the RC45 project was breathtaking, in fact they spent more on the RC45 than the NSR500 World GP project, but unlike Superbike’s sprint racing, the 45’s strong point was endurance racing where it won a record five Suzuka 8 Hour crowns, easily Japan’s most coveted racing event.

This Honda VFR750RC45 is a full-power example and has a little over 15,000k’s on the clock. Sold with full German documentation it retains its original number plate and has been part of a major collection in Rome.
