1990 Bimota Tuatara

In 1990 Bimota produced 60 very special versions of their widely acclaimed YB6, which received a number of racing orientated upgrades including fuel injection that helped achieve 150HP from the FZR1000 powerplant. In typical Bimota fashion, the weight was also reduced to an incredible 167kg, a factor that no doubt helped a claimed top speed of 272KPH making the YB6 Tuatara the fastest production bike available.

FYI, the name Tuatara comes from a New Zealand reptile, famous for moving very slowly; clearly no shortage of humour in the little Rimini facility.
