DENNIS HOPPER's EASY RIDER “CAPTAIN AMERICA” CHOPPER
Easy Rider and Captain America needs no introduction to any gear-head that grew up in the 60’s/70’s. This example of Captain America, the iconic chopper ridden by Peter Fonda in the film Easy Rider (Pando Co., 1969), is built from a 1950’s Harley Davidson “Panhead” engine with the serial number 50FL2519. Chromed hardtail frame fitted with raked and extended telescopic front forks, chromed ape hanger handlebars and risers, and the iconic custom painted peanut gas tank, king and queen seat, and sissy bar above a chromed rear fender and fishtail exhaust. Accompanied by copies of various provenance documents and titles including a notarized document signed by Dennis Hopper indicating that he sold the motorcycle, which was used for promoting the Easy Rider film, to Carl "Rodent" Metzger in 1979.
In perfect beautifully restored condition this spectacular bike is presently on display in the owner’s American residence. Export clearance, shipping and arrival can be performed by Raidermoto.com to any country or port.
