After almost ceasing motorcycle manufacturing altogether, in 1964 BMW lured Hans-Günther von der Marwitz from Porsche to create what would become one of the most iconic bikes of the era. Relocated from Munich to an all-new facility in Spandau, near Berlin, von der Maritz would design the now famous Slash 5 series (R50/5, R60/5 and R75/5 of 500, 600 and 750cc). Released 1970 season, the new model represented a revolution in BMW motorcycle design, with everything completely new with exception to the boxer engine.

This BMW R60/5 is in patina perfect condition with an original 81,000k’s use. Located with our Italian agent the advertised price includes shipping and arrival charges into Sydney.
